Biology Honors Course Description:  Biology is devoted to the study of living things and their processes.  Throughout the year this course provides an opportunity for students to develop scientific process skills, laboratory techniques, and an understanding of the fundamental principles of living organisms.  Students will explore biological science as a process, cell structure and function, genetics and heredity, evolution and classification, diversity of living organisms and their ecological roles, and an introduction to animal structure and function. Biology End of Course (EOC) exam will be in April/May. The EOC counts for 30% of the student’s final grade.

Pre-AP Dance Course Description: This course will develop student appreciation of dance as an art form and lifetime activity.  The course is designed to familiarize students with technique, basic anatomy, dance terminology, and different styles of dance. The student will develop kinesthetic awareness, movement memory, and creative abilities. The enhancement and the development and maintenance of physical fitness, self-confidence, self-discipline and independence with the body by providing informal showings during class are the goals expected to be achieved.

     *Folder (preferably a 3 prong folder) or 1 inch 3-ring Binder
     *Dance shoes are not required but are helpful. If you would like to purchase shoes these are the suggested options
