How to Register for Dual Enrollment - PBSC

1. Apply for admission as a dual enrollment student at PBSC.
2. If you don’t have college-ready PSAT/SAT or ACT scores, you may take the PERT at a PBSC testing center (the first time is free).
3. All first-time dual enrollment students must attend a mandatory online orientation session.
4. Choose your courses and have the Authorization Form signed by your School Counselor. 
5. Upload form and other required documents (GPA verification, test scores, etc). to the PBSC Engage portal.
6. Once authorization is approved, register for courses on the PBSC website.
7. Students may attend any Palm Beach State College campus or take online classes.
8. Students must complete an Authorization Form with their counselor each semester.

How to Register for Dual Enrollment - FAU

Eligibility for Dual Enrollment at FAU is determined on a term-by-term basis. Applications for both new and returning students are required each semester. All application materials must be submitted by the listed deadline in order to participate in the program. Applications that are incomplete or submitted after the deadline cannot be processed.

Obtaining Textbooks:

1. Textbooks costs are covered by the School District.
2. Some classes may require an additional lab fee that must be paid out of pocket.
3. Return your textbooks to Book Smart at the end of the semester and provide a copy of your receipt to your counselor. 
4. Failure to return books will result in an obligation on your high school account.

Early Admission at PBSC

1. Available for 12th-graders only.
2. Must have a 3.2 unweighted GPA, college-ready test scores, and a signed permission letter from the principal. 
3. All courses are taken at the college. Students have no classes on the Boca Raton Community High School campus. 
4. Students may participate in high school sports and activities.
5. Students must enroll in a minimum or 12 credits and a maximum of 18.
6. Students must maintain a 2.0 college GPA to continue in Early Admission.

Early Admission at FAU

1. Requirements: 3.8 GPA (unweighted), SAT: 1290, ACT: 27
2. Letter of recommendation from principal and counselor
3. Complete FAU freshman admissions application 
4. Complete supplemental application form
5. Application deadline is April 15, 2022

Important Reminders

1. Your grades from PBSC will be sent directly to Boca Raton High School at the end of the college semester. They will be added to your transcript but will not be shown on your School District of Palm Beach County report card.
2. When you apply for college, most universities will require that a separate transcript be sent from the college for all dual enrollment coursework.
3. If you withdraw from a class or receive a D or F in any courses, you may not take dual enrollment courses the following semester. Early Admission students must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA in their college courses.
